OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON WITHDRAWAL FROM THE ADC PRIMARY ELECTION By: Hon. Dan-Musa Yerima

My fellow party members, esteemed leaders, and the good people of Kogi State,

After extensive reflection, careful listening, and wide-ranging consultations with my campaign team, political allies, community leaders, and respected stakeholders, I have taken the considered and respectful decision to step aside from the forthcoming African Democratic Congress (ADC) primary election.

This was not a decision made in isolation or haste. Over the past several days, my team and I engaged in sincere and robust discussions regarding the future of our party, the interests of our constituents, and the greater good of our state. At the conclusion of those deliberations, we reached a unanimous consensus: the unity, stability, and electoral success of the ADC must take precedence over any personal ambition. In that spirit, we have resolved to fully support any candidate who emerges through the party’s democratic process to fly the ADC flag in the upcoming general elections.

Let me be unequivocal in stating that the decisions and guidelines of the African Democratic Congress remain supreme, relevant, and deeply respected by my team and me. As a loyal and committed party member, I recognize that the strength of the ADC lies in our ability to subordinate individual interests to the collective will of the party and the aspirations of the people we seek to serve. It is on this principle that I stand today.

I therefore appeal to all aspirants, delegates, and members contesting under the banner of the ADC to close ranks and work in one accord. Our differences in approach or perspective must not be allowed to weaken our collective resolve. The people of Kogi State are looking to us for leadership, hope, and a credible alternative. We can only deliver on that mandate if we remain united, disciplined, and focused on the ultimate goal: victory at the polls for the benefit of our communities.

Although I am stepping aside from this particular contest, my commitment to the ideals and progress of the ADC remains unshaken. I will continue to deploy my time, resources, network, and experience to support the party in every capacity required. I will campaign, mobilize, and stand shoulder to shoulder with our eventual candidate, because I am firmly convinced that with unity of purpose, victory is not only possible but assured.

To the resilient and industrious people of Kogi State, I reaffirm my dedication to your welfare and development. My withdrawal from the primaries does not in any way diminish my service to you. Rather, it is a reaffirmation that true leadership sometimes means making way for the greater good.

May God continue to bless the good people of Kogi State.
May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

ADC – One Party, One Purpose, One Victory!
Victory! Victory!! Victory!!! ✌️

Signed,
Hon. Dan-Musa Yerima
Proud Member, African Democratic Congress (ADC)
