Sen Kalu Urges Gov Lawal to Collaborate with Tinubu for Zamfara’s Growth

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has called on Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, to put political differences aside and forge a cooperative relationship with President Bola Tinubu to accelerate the state’s development.

Speaking in Gusau on Monday during the commissioning of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development as well as the renovated Zamfara College of Arts and Science, the former Abia State governor emphasized the importance of prioritizing governance over politics.

“The President is my brother and friend. We’ve moved beyond our political disagreements for the greater good,” Kalu said. “Governor Lawal, though you’re in the PDP and the President is APC, economic cooperation should take precedence. Aligning with the federal government will bring more dividends to Zamfara.”

Kalu warned that placing politics above economic collaboration could deprive Zamfara of critical federal support.

He also advised Governor Lawal to build bridges with former Governor Abdul’aziz Yari, stressing that unity among the state’s political leaders is vital for meaningful development.

“Let’s not let politics stand in the way of progress. Federal opportunities shouldn’t be missed Zamfara must come first,” Kalu added.
